Do I need an account?

No. ShareTrip has no login. Pick your family and name locally, then start tracking expenses.

How is settlement calculated?

Each family has a weight (share count). Expenses are split by those weights unless you customize a specific expense. The app shows who owes whom at the family level.

Can I use it offline?

Yes. You can add expenses offline. Changes sync to the cloud when you are back online, using last-write-wins conflict resolution.

How do others join my trip?

Share the trip link or trip code. Other families open the link, select their family, enter a display name, and start collaborating.

How is this different from Splitwise?

ShareTrip is built for group travel between families. Accounting is family-centric with configurable weights, no account setup, and a simpler flow focused on trips rather than ongoing shared households.
